Court rules on the handover of former Crane Bank Branches

KAMPALA, UGANDA – 2^nd February 2024: Today, the Assistant Registrar of the High Court (Land Division) issued a ruling mandating dfcu Bank to hand over the 48 properties that had been transferred to the entity by Bank of Uganda (acting as then Receiver of Crane Bank Limited [CBL]) as part of the Purchase of Assets and Assumption of Liabilities Agreement (P&A). The Bank vacated the said properties in 2020 and therefore, complying with the Court ruling has no impact on dfcu’s operations.
