Appointed as Director on 12th April 2019
Has over 20 years’ experience and expertise in Corporate Law, Corporate Governance, and Corporate Finance Law. She is a certified company director with the Institute of Directors of UK and has served in governance and oversight roles with various organizations in the public, private and non-for-profit sectors.
She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Commercial Law at the School of Law, Makerere University. She is a member of various professional bodies, such as INSOL International where she serves as co- chair of the Africa Advisory Council, member of the board of the International Insolvency Institute as well as co- chair of the Academic Committee. She is a Fellow of the Uganda National Academy of Sciences and member of the Uganda Law Society. She is a non- executive director of MTN Uganda Ltd and Jubilee Allianz General Insurance Ltd
Previous directorships include Financial Sector Deepening Uganda, African Alliance Uganda Ltd, Makerere University Holdings Ltd, Gatsby Microfinance Ltd, and Basic Needs Uganda. She also served as a member of the International Ethics Standard Board for Accountants, member of the Council of Mbarara University of Science and Technology, and member of the Public Sector Internal Audit Committee.
