Simon Peter Kiwanuka is a seasoned banking professional with over 15 years of experience leading strategic compliance and operations functions, is passionate about building strong compliance cultures that enable sustainable business growth and maintain positive regulatory relationships.
As Chief Compliance Officer, he is charged with driving enterprise-wide adherence to all regulatory, statutory, and supervisory laws and standards.
Simon’s previous leadership experience spans multiple roles at Stanbic Bank Uganda, including Regional Operations Manager and Senior Compliance Manager. During his tenure he led advisory and compliance oversight for the Corporate & Investment Banking arm of the bank before moving onto overseeing Compliance for Stanbic Uganda Holdings Limited.
He holds an Economics degree from Makerere University, an MBA from the University of South Wales, and is CAMS-certified.
