February 22, 2010, KAMPALA- In a
continued effort to provide innovative and homegrown financial solutions to
Uganda, dfcu Bank has announced the premier Investment Club Forum,
scheduled to take place this weekend, Saturday
February 27, 2010 at Golf Course Hotel.
The Investor’s Forum is a valued-added initiative to holders of a dfcu Investment Club Account, one of dfcu’s newest products, aimed at harnessing the collective saving power of people. The Forum whose theme is “Strength in Numbers” will be addressed by Peter Kimbowa, a renowned Business Coach, Motivational Speaker, Businessman and Chairman of The Institute of Financial Empowerment. He was also awarded the Best Professional man of the year (2005) by the British Council and Management Forum.
The dfcu
Investment Club Account is open to groups of 3 to any number a group
chooses.
The product
taps into a growing trend by Ugandans- men and women alike who get
together to
pool funds both for long term and short term investment purposes. Such
pool
funds combined with collective bargaining power create superior buying
power,
enhanced sharing of knowledge and skills as well as
networking.
Elsewhere,
in the world, investment clubs have evolved into modern day venture
capital
funds, collective investment schemes or mutual funds that have become
influential in today’s money and securities
markets.
